Why Horses?

Horses respond immediately and without prejudice to what they perceive in a given moment. They do not judge retrospectively or hold grudges; instead, they respond solely to what they observe and experience in the present. This creates a very direct and honest form of feedback in interaction with people.

Horses perceive not only obvious signals, but also very subtle ones – such as breathing, heart rate, muscle tension, posture, or voice. Due to their high sensitivity, they respond to subtle changes in their counterpart’s behavior and internal state. In this sense, horses can be understood as mirrors and as a form of immediate biofeedback.

As herd animals, horses are socially oriented and dependent on functional relationships. They possess a highly developed capacity for perception, rapid response mechanisms, and differentiated social behavior. At the same time, they are prey animals whose evolution has depended on precise communication and social competence. Through domestication, horses have developed the ability to form stable relationships with humans and accept them as social partners.
